Saturday February 22, 2014
1:00 PM until 2:00 PM
Make plans to join us for the launch of “Show & Tell: Bellingham, MA.” Next Saturday, February 22 from 1-2PM at the Bellingham MA Public Library on Blackstone Street. Bring an object, a photo or just yourself. While not an opportunity to self-promote, these events lend themselves to great conversations between participants!
It’s Show & Tell for Grownups (Like in elementary school, but without the gerbils, we hope!) Sponsored by the Bellingham Public Library, the Association of Personal Historians, and hosted by Marjorie Turner Hollman, it’s the first Boston area event, and part of a series taking place all over the country and even internationally. Remember that old letter you read time and again because it makes you feel so good, or the one that your parents wrote to one another during the war? How about the photo of your grandparents that inspires you every time you feel blue? Or that diploma that reminds you of how far you’ve come? Bring an article of clothing, a painting, jewelry, book or any other sentimental object that has a story to show and to tell.
You don’t have to show and tell, you can just look and listen. Come for the whole event, or just pop in for a little while. Bring your friends and learn more about their lives!
