2. You can also get five pirate coins for every ten hours of reading (sheets available at library)
3. Trade your pirate coins in for prizes
4. Four pirate coins will get your a choice of a prize including toys, books and other fun stuff – including a free children’s PawSox ticket (see below)
5. Use seven pirate coins to get a prize AND a raffle ticket for a bigger prize. There are six raffle prizes: a package including 2 tickets to the Big E, 5 tickets to Regal Cinemas and a family pass to the U.S.S. Constitution Museum; a Diary of a Wimpy Kid prize pack; a Boston Bruins bookcase with a $20 gift certificate courtesy of Friendly Neighborhood Comics; a Kate DiCamillo collection including a signed copy of her newest book, Flora & Ulysses, which comes out in September; an entire set of Magic Tree House books; and a Hands On package which includes a Perplexus, Lego and T-Rex books and a Yankee Candle hand mold certificate (redeemable in Deerfield)

NOTE: The Pawtucket Red Sox have graciously offered every participant of the library’s summer reading program a free ticket to the Pawtucket Red Sox game on August 20. Before the game, all summer reading participants will be honored during an on-field ceremony! A child will be considered a summer reading participant the first time s/he trades in their pirate coins for a prize.

You can also win prizes from Barnes & Noble and Rockland Trust just for reading. How cool is that?
