Ring-a-Ding is a musical interactive story time created in 2008 by then-Head of Youth Services Librarian Nina Hunt. Due to its popularity, the program is still going strong. Ring-A-Ding, which is for all preschool ages and does NOT require registration, is generally 40-45 minutes long. Included throughout are stories, nursery rhymes, musical instruments, songs, pretend play, free play and movement activities. We often use bells, scarves and various size parachutes as well. Each child participates at his or her own comfort level. There is quite a bit of repetition.
Drop in to a Ring-a-Ding almost any Tuesday or Friday at 10:15am, or every other Thursday evening at 6:30pm. We also now have a monthly Saturday Ring-a-Ding! This is our basic schedule; however, you should check our events calendar to see for sure when Ring-a-Ding is happening. Hope to see you there!
