Summer Reading Prizes

There are three ways to win prizes at the Bellingham Public Library this summer! Here’s how:

  1. Get a Bingo on Your Superhero Bingo Card! You will get a superhero emblem for each library program you attend and/or every day you borrow books. Stick your emblems onto your Bingo card until you get a Superhero Bingo. Keep playing by taking another Superhero Bingo Card!
  2. Be a Hero in Your Community! Do suggested good deeds from our library’s Hometown Hero sheets.
  3. Be a Super Reader! Get a reading log from the library to keep track of your reading. Read for 8 hrs and 20 minutes to complete a log. Then get another reading log and keep reading!

We have some great raffle prizes! Enter as many times as you can to win your favorite one!! Raffle winners will be drawn at our summer reading finale program after Big Ryan’s Tall Tales, which begins at 6:30pm on Thursday, August 20. You do not need to be present to win.

Grades 8 – 12:  For each YA Book Survey you fill out this summer, you’ll receive a raffle ticket to win an autographed book!  Blank YA Book Surveys can be found at the prize bookcase display located by the front door.  There, you will also find the binder that contains information about all of the autographed prize books available.  When you complete a survey, turn it in at the front desk and a librarian will give you a raffle ticket.  Fill out your name and phone number (neatly!) on the raffle ticket, and don’t forget to include the number associated with the autographed book you want!!  Winners will be drawn at the end of the Summer Reading program on Thursday, August 20th.  You will be notified if your ticket is the one that’s selected.  There are no limits to how many book surveys you can fill out, but please only do so for books you’ve read recently.

NOTE: Our summer reading program runs from June 24-August 20.

NOTE: The Pawtucket Red Sox have again graciously offered every participant of the library’s summer reading program a free ticket to a Pawtucket Red Sox game! The game is on Monday, August 24. Before the game, all summer reading participants will be honored during an on-field ceremony! A child will be considered a summer reading participant the first time s/he completes a Superhero Bingo Card, Hometown Hero sheet, or reading log. Get your free voucher at the library.
